I’m writing to remind you, in case you need to hear it….. that you can do this!
You can relieve pelvic pain.
I know it may not feel like it sometimes.
I know that it’s very easy, when your symptoms are interfering with your life, to get stuck in fearful thinking and anxiety and believe that you’ll always be in pain.
In fact, if you’re like many of my clients, your mind is probably very good at coming up with reasons – convincing reasons – why you can’t do it – and why a mind body approach won’t work for you.
So I wanted to take a minute to reach out and tell you that even if you are having doubts…..
You can still relieve your pain!
You CAN do it!
And you don’t have to eliminate the doubt to do it.
You don’t have to believe 100%.
You don’t have to do it perfectly.
Your pain doesn’t even have to be 100% mind body for a mind body approach to make a significant difference in how you feel and how much you can enjoy your life!!!
All you have to do is keep exploring and practicing…..one baby step at a time.
And you will get there.
So, if your lizard brain is saying anything like:
- Your symptoms are too “physical”
- Or you can’t learn how to feel your emotions.
- Or there’s something deeply and irreversibly wrong with you.
- Or your too lazy, too overwhelmed, too distracted, too broken, in too much pain, or having too much resistance.
- Or this is stupid and it just won’t work!
It’s just not true.
Here’s what is true…….
Every one of my clients has had these or similar thoughts. And they’ve gotten past them and found their way to a healthy positive relationship with their body, mind, and soul.
And so can you.
Sometimes you may doubt. Sometimes you may feel alone, scared, or overwhelmed, or not know what to do next.
That’s perfectly normal and understandable.
And it doesn’t mean you can’t do it.
Your body is a healing machine. The source of healing is within YOU.
YOU CAN DO IT. You are good enough. It does work. Your pain will go away. You will be able to enjoy sex again (even more than before!). You are so not alone.
The next time you notice that “I can’t do it” story,
Breathe deeply into your low belly.
Say hello to your lizard.
Acknowledge her story and then flip it around to the opposite.
Remind yourself that you CAN do it.
…that lots of other women who thought they couldn’t – have.
…that your body has healed from injuries and illnesses before … and it can heal from this too.
…that it’s not surprising that your doctors don’t have helpful answers, but that there is help available.
You can learn to lead your mind, befriend and feel your emotions, access and understand your body’s wisdom (your inner healer) – and as a result transform the mental and emotional patterns that are creating stress, tension and pain.
You can do it!
